JA Supporter of the Week: Michael Patacao
Published: Wednesday, 21 Oct 2020
For his service as the Chairman of our Board of Directors, his efforts as a classroom and Titan Business Challenge volunteer, and his support for the JA IRONMAN Golf Championship ... we are excited to announce Michael Patacao of Bristol County Savings Bank as our JA Supporter of the Week!
Michael is a JA Alumni and experienced firsthand the impact that our programs can have on local students. He’s a long-time member of the JA Board of Directors, and is currently serving his second term as Chairman of the Board. In addition to providing guidance at the Board level, Michael is an active volunteer annually teaching JA classroom programs. In addition, he’s among a group of Board Members who helped launch the JA Titan Business Challenge seven years ago and he continues to serve on the Titan Committee and as an active volunteer for this program that serves nearly 200 local high school students annually.
Michael plays a leadership role in our outstanding partnership with Bristol County Savings Bank which helps brings JA’s financial literacy programs to thousands of students across the region each year. He is also an annual supporter of JA’s IRONMAN Golf Championship fundraiser which helps keep all of our programs free for local students and schools.
JA is so fortunate to have a Board Chairman, volunteer and active supporter like Mike. He has lead our organization through a period of tremendous growth and now through a time of important innovation and community response. Mike is always actively working to support the organization’s mission – whether that be strategically in the boardroom or out in a local school – and we couldn’t ask for a better leader of our team! – Jeffrey Pelletier, President of Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts
With deep gratitude for Michael’s commitment to leading our Board and education efforts across the region, we are proud to honor him as our JA Supporter of the Week!
