For her support of the JA Titan Business Challenge and her dedication to preparing students for success … we are excited to announce Edna McKenna of Bishop Stang High School as our JA Supporter of the Week!

Edna is an outstanding supporter of Junior Achievement, and truly embodies our mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. She enthusiastically provides her students with exciting learning opportunities that help them connect what they’re learning in the classroom to the real world.

Thanks to Edna, Bishop Stang has participated in the JA Titan Business Challenge every year since it was created in 2013. As Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts’ largest annual event, Titan brings together 200 high school students from across the region to participate in a dynamic hands-on learning experience. Students compete in teams using the interactive business simulator JA Titan which puts them at the helm of a virtual company, hear from some of the region’s top business and community leaders, and compete for scholarship awards that can help make a higher education possible.

Bishop Stang students have been very successful in earning scholarship awards through the JA Titan Business Challenge, and a large part of that is due to Edna’s dedication to preparing and motivating them. She teaches her students a variety of important business topics in class and encourages them to practice for the competition.

This year, when the JA Titan Business Challenge transitioned from a day-long in-person event to a week-long virtual event, Edna committed to participating right away, excited to provide her students with a great learning opportunity in any format.

“Edna has been a tremendous supporter of Junior Achievement and our mission. She goes above and beyond to help her students succeed in school and in life. We are so grateful for everything that Edna does to support Junior Achievement and local students!” – Jeffrey Pelletier, Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts President

With deep gratitude for her support and dedication, we are proud to honor Edna McKenna as our JA Supporter of the Week!
