For their long-standing partnership and generous charitable support of Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts’ free financial literacy education programs … we are excited to announce Webster Bank as our JA Partner of the Month!

Webster Bank has been a long-time partner of Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts in our work to spread financial literacy education throughout the region. Their continued support and generosity has allowed us to expand the reach of our programs in recent years and given us the capacity to meet the ever-changing needs of the students and schools we serve.

Their support has helped us bring JA’s K-12 Classroom Programs to thousands of local students. These hands-on, engaging programs use age-appropriate activities to bring the key concepts of financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship to life. They give students the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. JA programs transform the student experience by bringing relevance, authenticity, and application into everyday learning to energize students around academics and their future possibilities.

Webster Bank is also the exclusive Entrepreneurship Sponsor for Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts’ largest annual student event: the JA Titan Business Challenge. Each year this event brings together 200 high school students from across the region, giving them the opportunity to participate in a dynamic learning experience, hear from some of the region’s top business leaders, and compete for important scholarship awards that can help make a higher education possible. Webster Bank employees volunteer to serve as Business Mentors for this event, offering guidance and financial advice as students compete in teams using the interactive business simulator JA Titan.

In addition to supporting JA through volunteerism, Webster Bank employees also participate in our fundraising events which help keep everything Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts does 100% free for students and schools. Webster Bank is the Title Sponsor for JA’s annual Strikes for Success bowling fundraiser and is also a sponsor of the JA IRONMAN Golf Championship fundraiser.

“We’re so very grateful for our strong partnership with Webster Bank to help spread financial literacy education across the region and support local students. Webster Bank and their employees are tremendous supporters of everything we do – from financial literacy classroom programs, to student events, to fundraising events. And we’re especially thankful for the efforts of Andrew Rodrigues, Vice President of Business Banking for Webster Bank, who helps lead our organization as a member of our Board of Directors.” – Jeffrey Pelletier, Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts President

With deep gratitude for their dedication to bringing JA’s free financial literacy education programs to thousands of students across the region, we are proud to honor Webster Bank as our JA Partner of the Month.
