Titan Business Challenge - 2021

Featuring: JA Titan (Blended)

JA Titan Blended Model is a simulation-based program in which high school students compete as business CEOs in the phone industry, experiencing firsthand how an organization evaluates alternatives, makes decisions, analyzes the outcomes of those decisions, and then strategizes what to do next. (Grades 9-12) The blended model comprises 11 sessions that include tutorial sessions, game-play strategy sessions, a competition session, and deep dive sessions. Participants complete a minimum of 5 sessions, in any order. An optional event or in-class competition may be included.

Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts’ Titan Business Challenge has grown into one of the region’s top student programs, serving more than 1,200 local students over the past seven years! This year, in order to provide more flexibility for schools and allow more students to participate, we have transformed the event from a day-long competition to a week-long digital experience called “Titan Week” that includes daily emails, videos, and social media engagements and allows students to learn and compete on their own time in school or at home.

Open to all high school students in Southern Massachusetts, Titan Week will provide opportunities to learn business skills through an online interactive business simulator, hear from some of the region's top business leaders, and compete for scholarship awards that can help make a higher education possible. Whole schools or classes as well as individual students are invited to compete.

Students will compete as business CEOs in the phone industry, experiencing firsthand how an organization evaluates alternatives, makes decisions, analyzes the outcomes of those decisions, and then strategizes what to do next. With a focus on financial literacy and insights into the workforce, JA Titan brings business economics to life. As students make financial decisions about production, marketing, research and development, and corporate social responsibility, they begin to see how every choice made in an organization relates to its future success.

Thanks to the support of JA Titan Business Challenge sponsors, this event is 100% free for students and schools!
