At JA of Southern Massachusetts, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!
The JA SPARK Program is a free two-year program for middle school girls from across Southern Massachusetts focused on leadership development and entrepreneurial thinking. SPARK offers a unique blend of financial literacy, career readiness, entrepreneurship, and leadership development.
These JA Events have already taken place, but they will be back! If you would like to learn more about them, please contact us!
Over the years, the IRONMAN Championship has grown into one of New England's premier charity events and has raised over one million dollars to support Junior Achievement's financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs across Southern Massachusetts – benefitting more than 40,000 students!
Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts’ Titan Business Challenge has grown into one of the region’s top student programs, serving more than 1,200 local students over the past seven years! This year, in order to provide more flexibility for schools and allow more students to participate, we have transformed the event from a day-long competition to a week-long digital experience called “Titan Week” that includes daily emails, videos, and social media engagements and allows students to learn and compete on their own time in school or at home.
Open to all high school students in Southern Massachusetts, Titan Week will provide opportunities to learn business skills through an online interactive business simulator, hear from some of the region's top business leaders, and compete for scholarship awards that can help make a higher education possible.
Whole schools or classes as well as individual students are invited to compete.
Strikes for Success is our annual bowling fundraiser, with JA supporters from across Southern Massachusetts coming together to raise thousands of dollars in support of our free financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship education programs for local students.
The JA Company Program empowers high school students to solve a problem in their community by building and managing their own start-up business. This free after-school program brings together high school students from across our region to form and manage their own company under the mentorship of business professionals and community volunteers.
